Let the good times roll, bitch!

Four months ago I scraped my foot on the concrete bench in the pool. You’ll remember me whining about it.

My blood sugar has been medically “ uncontrolled” for a while now. That makes my A1C very high. ( A1C is a look at the previous three months to get a picture of how you’re doing) mine is bad. As it turns out, I’m resistant to insulin. My body can’t or won’t absorb it. Life is fun isn’t it? So my endocrinologist will have to come up with a plan. In the meantime..

I stood up last night at about 2am. I immediately went down. Face first into the carpet, I took a wee bit of a nap. My son and husband scraped me up and when I could I went into the bathroom to check out my face. I bit the inside of my mouth. Two lightly bruised eyes. Then, I caught my foot out of the side of my eye and saw it.

Where I’d scraped my foot, it was black. The skin was black. Diabetes is dangerous for feet. I felt the terror rush through my body. My limbs felt like they were burning from the insides.

Cheryl had bumped her toe and gone to sleep. The next day she had her toe amputated, it had turned black, two days later she died of a heart attack. Sepsis. Now I don’t know how it works in Washington State but in Texas, one of the very few things they do right is check everyone for sepsis when you’re in the ER. So that should be less likely to happen but I’m a silly little unicorn so the weirdest most extreme things happen to me and I was, I don’t know how to explain it, My brain was buzzing. I went in to show my husband and he said that I should keep an eye on it and he’d check it when he got up for work.

I went into the living room because there was not a chance in hell that I wasn’t going to be staring at it with a flashlight for the next three hours. If that thing looked at me the wrong way I was gonna call an ambulance.

Now, a cute thing about me is that I don’t go to the hospital until I feel like I might die if I don’t. It’s a habit that pisses everyone off but, it’s not likely to change anytime soon.

My son went and told his dad that if MOM thinks she needs to go to the hospital, you should go to the hospital.

Turns out that I’m having an allergic reaction to something and my tiny blood vessels are breaking AND, dyshidrodect eczema, which can also be caused by a virus and STRESS.

The good news is, I’m not dying!! My blood vessels are just breaking!

So, it was a Tracy day.

My son is in Denver and might get snow soon! So jealous! We had fake fall number three or four. We should get actual fall in November.

My friend Heather is in ICU. She was flown to Seattle and put on life support. I’m scared. She needs a double lung transplant. Whatever you do, prayers, candles, etc… please do so. Our last conversation was me texting her “I love you, Mama!” And she wrote back “ I love you soooo much!”

Very glad that that happened.

Gotta run!
