Late to the party…

 I haven’t posted because it feels overwhelming to know where to starts so I’m just gonna write for 20 minutes and where that ends it ends and I’ll keep going over the next posts to wrap it up…. How do you wrap up a crisis of faith? How do you start?

Genesis.

Let’s start at the beginning. I probably won’t post verses because you can look them up if you like…. Or I might… we’ll see.

The Garden of Eden.

1) In Jewish beliefs, Adam had a first wife and her name was Lilith. Lilith was a little too outspoken and sexually aggressive. God wasn’t pleased and sent her away, in the Bible we don’t get that version. I didn’t like that. It was the first time I realized that chapters, verses and entire books were removed from the Bible by men with agendas. Be that money or power or even to allow your own self to get a divorce so you could stop beheading your wives ( King James, looking at you, Bud!)

2) The serpent!!!! Like I’ve mentioned, the snake was not a snake. It was a lizard. So riddle me this….. Satan/ Lucifer was a beloved Arc Angel. More beautiful than anyone has ever seen. The Morning Star….. Residing in heaven….. Not fucking with Eve about fruit. So, Eve gets lead astray by the animal, goes to Adam and talks him into eating it too…

   A) why was eve’s punishment physical? The pain of childbirth for all women to come?

B) Adam wasn’t to blame, he was just too stupid. I mean, they got kicked out but it was Eve that was evil ( oh! Wait, kind of like Lilith?) two types of women in the Bible… Saints and whores. 

C) The lizard was punished by its legs being removed. If it had been Lucifer wouldn’t he have been punished instead? Why punish the animal he supposedly took over? Because it wasn’t Lucifer.

D) there are two completely different descriptions of God creating earth and what earth is. How can an infallible book be fallible? Hmmmmm…. I wondered. 

Tower of Babel:

1) people started building a tower to reach heaven and God says, out loud…. That he must destroy it or they will be “like us” in Eden God speaks out loud and says that if Adam and Eve eat from the tree of like they “could become like US”

Who is “US?” More than one God? My pastors said that he was speaking to Jesus and the Holy Spirit but if they are ONE, why would he have to speak to them and he wouldn’t use the word “ Us” because they are one like an egg… Shell, egg whites and the yolk. Later in the Bible God tells the Jews to put no other God before him…. Other God’s?

Here’s me

 On Monday my son and I got an uber, I think I mentioned that my car was totaled by hail…. Anyway, I splurged and got a really nice one, like hello, I’m a kardashian…. And I took him to the spa. He did not want to go. He had it in his head that it was going to be like People Soup…. But he LOVED it! We loved it! Had the best time. He’s good. My husband picked us up but, ugh, we did not want too. We have our favorite pools and he liked them best too. They play jazz music and you can just hear all the water falls. The funny thing is that I can see Plano out from my balcony, this is on the opposite side of what we can see, so, very close to home but also 30 minutes away because their is no straight connection. Both my husband and Josh like the pool where you can see the view of the city and at night, it’s stunning. Also helped my wrist! For the time we where there… My wrist is not good. Deader than a Door Nail

 Ok, I have so many like really deep conversations that I’m just gonna get out of my system with you all. You good with that? Cool… I’m 57 years old and I realize that it’s way too late to be going through a midlife crisis but I am! I’m like,” I hope they come out with that third season pretty soon do I can see it before I die” I’ve decided that I probably have 10 good years left. TEN YEARS. It keeps me up at night!
